Visit of Fourth-Year Pharmacy Students to Samarra Pharmaceutical Factory

The Pharmacy Department at Al-Yarmouk University College organized a scientific visit for fourth-year students to the Samarra Pharmaceutical Factory, aiming to enhance the practical aspects of the educational process.

The visit was attended by the Head of the Pharmacy Department, Dr. Qasim Mahmoud, and a number of faculty members. It included a meeting with the director of the State Company for Drug Marketing, during which discussions were held on the prospects for joint cooperation in pharmaceutical research. Afterward, a tour was conducted to observe the factory’s production lines, quality control processes, and modern methods used in drug testing.

The Department Head emphasized during the visit that these activities come within the framework of the college’s commitment to activating practical aspects to enhance theoretical education. He pointed out that such visits contribute to raising the level of students by connecting them with reality. Additionally, he noted that the scientific trip provides an important opportunity for students to understand how to apply what they learn in classrooms to real-world situations, thereby enhancing their scientific and practical competence.
