The workshop addressed awareness of the importance of early detection of breast cancer and its most important symptoms by urging them to conduct periodic examinations as early detection goes a long way in its treatment and coordination between the Cancer Council in Iraq and the Disease Unit of the Ministry of Health.

The workshop summarized the need for public health education to promote awareness among women and their families about the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. and understand the importance of early detection and treatment. More women will seek specialist advice when they first suspect they have breast cancer and before any cancer reaches an advanced stage.

It is worth noting that this activity falls within the first axis of our awareness program on the importance of early detection of breast diseases in conjunction with the month of Pink October (Breast Cancer Awareness Month).
