19/02/2022Assistant Professor Dr. Kazem Ali Kazem, Head of the Department of Pharmacy at Yarmouk University College, was nominated to be one of the members of the committee to discuss the master’s thesis by pharmaceutical researcher Ali Bayat Abd. About “Curcumin Supplements for Stroke Patients” where the study aims to compare the effect of curcumin adjuvant treatment on muscle strength after stroke and daily activity restrictions,
As well as potential neuroprotection through anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects compared to traditional treatment. The study found that the average values of performance activity (a measure of muscle strength and motor performance for stroke patients) significantly increased compared to the pre-treatment values in the second group of patients (P < 0.01).
The discussion took place at exactly nine o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, 12/8/2021, in the Imam Al-Sadiq Hall, peace be upon him, at the College of Pharmacy / Al-Mustansiriya University.
